Senior Architect Rob Tedford's passion for architecture began in Texas. A Sulphur Springs native, he received his bachelor’s degree in architecture at the University of Texas/Arlington, then promptly served in the First Calvary Division of the US Army for six years. Next he worked for a top firm in Dallas prior to his ten years employed by a major home builder. “That’s when I learned how a home is really built,” Rob says. He brought his skills east to Beaufort County where he’s steered projects for BRZ, Inc, Johnson & Associates Architects and his own business. Over the past 30 years Rob’s efforts have been part of the rise of landmark communities like Sea Pines and Spring Island. He’s currently a licensed SC architect, an architectural consultant for the Palmetto Dunes ARB and proud father of one daughter and granddaughter. His wife Barbara has been a beloved school teacher for the local district’s elementary and early childhood programs. She and Rob met at the legendary Reilly’s restaurant on Hilton Head and the rest was happily-ever-after! He’s lately interested in sports car racing and a BMW fanatic, but Rob admits he’s still fan of the classic lowcountry pastime, 18 holes of golf!
