The Role of Aesthetic

At the core of our interior design approach are ideas that align with each client’s “aesthetic.” This elusive term has many interpretations, for instance “a set of principles underlying and guiding the work of a particular artist or artistic movement. Or “a particular individual’s set of ideas about style and taste, along with its expression.” Or simply, “a combination of things that are pleasing to look at.”

Regardless of its mixed use, your aesthetic is our priority in creating environments that are the perfect complement to your lifestyle, and your family’s.

Getting Personal

Interiors are the most intimate layer of home design, full of the details you touch and feel daily. So we don’t take lightly our roles as trusted advisors in guiding your most private, passionate, personal visions. We realize how important it is to ask the right questions and then listen, attentively. We’re determined to understand how our clients want to live and interact in their interior spaces. Only then can we create environments that truly reflect our clients’ genuine aesthetic perspective.

Unique vs. Same Old

No two projects are the same. Each is as unique as the client associated with it. We encounter new settings, diverse characters and contrasting scripts with every installation. We rely on a mix of materials, textures, and finishes to achieve our clients’ respective styles, which, by the way, can rarely be categorized according to conventional standards. How could they be? They’re a reflection of thousands of decisions made with our clients to yield an absolutely custom result. Whether we’re incorporating memories, emotions or a favorite palette, it’s our clients’ unique histories and habits that drive the design.

Keeping this mantra in mind, we aim to balance our projects with upscale touches and low-key vibes. We layer rooms with function, comfort and beauty – beauty that is understated and timeless. Surrounded by the authentic backdrop of South Carolina’s Lowcountry, pretention pales in comparison to relaxed yet elegant simplicity. We refer to this as “Lowcountry Luxe.”
