A western-oriented riverfront property with deep water access, this homesite offered great views but tight side setbacks and neighbors that felt close by. These challenges created opportunities for the design team to focus inward for privacy while still creating generous outdoor entertaining spaces and capturing amazing views. Even in areas where width was a challenge, the home still feels generous thanks to the vaulted main gathering areas, dormer lighting, use of transoms, and tall ceilings. The architecture is designed to be both Southern and transitional, keeping an intentionally low profile and a strong horizontal proportion that blends into the natural landscape.
