Bonny Shore Residence

The Bonny Shore Residence is a great example of the power of design in a collaborative, client-driven relationship. Court Atkins Group architecture and interior design teams worked in tandem, and what emerged is a classic and traditional riverfront retreat with a graceful formality. The design is intuitive, with each element of space dovetailing with another to form a harmonious flow and progression, all set amidst the backdrop of the beautiful Colleton River.

The design team incorporated elements that added finishing touches to a space but wouldn’t distract from the views beyond, such as the chandelier and hand-painted wallpaper in the dining room. A brick and walnut inlaid floor in the owner’s entry grounds the home’s traditional roots and adds a touch of elegance to the space. The clients added their own touch with furniture handcrafted by themselves, further layering the transitional design with traditional elements.
