Posed with the task of designing a gracious family retreat that leverages the double lot’s water views, Court Atkins Group crafted an intuitive design that provides inland waterway views from nearly every space in the house and offers a variety of outdoor spaces, including outdoor courtyards, pool terraces, raised gardens, a boat dock, and carriage house. From asymmetrical exterior gables to abundant porch space, the result was an expansive layout that intentionally blends modern details with timeless and reclaimed Lowcountry elements. Intuitive design features sprawling wings housing a garage and carriage house on one end and a sumptuous primary suite on the other. At the center, the great room unfolds with soaring ceilings and spectacular reclaimed oak trusses.
