Marshview Residence

This residence blends the timeless charm of Lowcountry architecture with a fresh, contemporary sensibility, creating a home that feels both distinctive and deeply rooted in its setting. The design balances tradition and modernity, celebrates its natural surroundings, and offers a floor plan tailored to evolving family needs.
The siting responds to tidal floodplains and expansive marsh vistas stretching toward Daufuskie and Hilton Head Islands. From the front, “borrowed” views of a nearby park and lagoon enrich the arrival experience. A porte cochere with living space above leads to a private motor courtyard that provides both function and privacy.
Material selections reinforce the Lowcountry character while adding a refined, modern edge. A Savannah Gray brick and stucco foundation grounds the home, paired with horizontal siding, a mahogany entry door, clad windows, and a standing seam metal roof. Clean-lined detailing lends permanence and elegance.
The plan supports quiet weekends, lively gatherings, and extended family stays. The kitchen, dining, and great room connect seamlessly to marsh views, anchored by a screened porch, primary suite, and infinity-edge pool that merges with the landscape. Thoughtful retreats, recreation spaces, and guest suites provide flexibility. The result is a home rooted in context yet distinctly its own.
