The new welcome center showcases Lowcountry aesthetics with a collective purpose. Where a tired fire station once stood now sits a welcoming multi-functional administration and security building located at the main entrance to Palmetto Dunes in Hilton Head Island, SC.
Court Atkins Group crafted design and construction drawings for a complete demolition of former Hilton Head Fire Station #6 at Palmetto Dunes, now a new welcome center, administration office, and security/pass office. The interior design included “Lowcountry” materials with a mild nautical influence and a space program to accommodate multiple functions and staff personnel. The goal was to create a welcoming, functional, and relaxed space while maintaining a professional atmosphere.
