A committed, high-energy member of the residential team, Nickie focuses her design efforts at Court Atkins Group’s Starland Studio in Savannah. She launched her Lowcountry career with a master's degree from SCAD in 2004, then honed her skills at several other area firms before joining Court Atkins Group in 2012. Several years ago, she and husband, Ian, a seasoned graphic designer, relocated to Saint Augustine with son, Miles, daughter, Scarlett, and adopted pups, Mikey and Milo. A licensed architect in both FL and GA, Nickie commutes regularly between the two states as well as to Bluffton, South Carolina. She remains an avid runner when not camping, kayaking, or chilling with team Heffernan.
Describe your process: My process consists exclusively of rearranging my schedule to accommodate whatever thing William has just now promised to someone without consulting me first.

Where would you relocate if you were forced to leave the country: I would move to Ireland. With Pam. And maybe my family.
