Ryan Coberly
Project Designer
Kent State University
Ryan Coberly joined Court Atkins Group in 2025 after relocating to the Lowcountry from Cleveland, Ohio. He holds both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Architecture from Kent State University. After graduating, Ryan worked professionally in Cleveland while also teaching part-time at Kent State, sharing his passion for design with the next generation of architects.
With a deep appreciation for thoughtful, approachable, and timeless design, Ryan’s process blends curiosity, collaboration, and experimentation - translating ideas into spaces that feel intentional, warm, and inviting.
Outside of work, Ryan gravitates toward active, outdoor pursuits - especially anything on the water, from paddleboarding to boating. He also enjoys cooking, traveling, and drawing inspiration from the places he visits, bringing elements of those experiences into both his life and his designs. Whether exploring a new city, testing a recipe, or imagining a new space, Ryan seeks to connect the everyday with creativity and comfort.
Describe your process: I approach design as a conversation. I listen first, then translate ideas into visuals that evolve through collaboration. The process is about balancing creativity with clarity, so the final design feels both intentional and effortless.
